The cottage is located in the hamlet of Iburndale just outside the pretty village of Sleights.
Sleights offers great facilities including a general store, butchers (with Delia recommended deli), two pubs offering bar meals, Post Office, fish and chip shop, tea room and bakers.
Just next door is the village of Ruswarp with rowing boats on the River Esk. Whitby is less than 4 miles away and has a good range of shops, restaurants, galleries and other services and entertainments. This historic seaside town has recently been voted ‘Best Day Out’ in Tourism Awards.
